APS Legal and Associates are one of the UK’s largest and most reputable will writing and estate planning companies. With over 500 Associates nationwide, all of our Associates and in-house staff are fully qualified in advising on will writing, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trusts as well as probate services.
We are recruiting for an Administrator to join our Probate Team. This role will see you completing administration work to support to Probate Case Manager.
You’ll be responsible for taking calls from clients and associates, handling their queries and requests in a professional manner, within agreed deadlines. You’ll also support the wider Probate team by carrying out a wide range of general administrative tasks.
The role is based in Worksop with the flexibility to balance home working as required.
What you'll be doing
Opening and setting up new cases on the system.
Management of post, processing, filing and logging correspondence
Communicating and maintaining a relationship with clients and associates
Collecting relevant financial information in order for our solicitor to submit the probate application
Liaising with solicitors in relation to the probate application
Collecting or transferring of assets to beneficiaries
Handling the transfer of the deceased property
What you need to succeed
Confident in using Microsoft applications and can learn new software quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build rapport with internal teams and external customers
Work independently as well as collaboratively
Self-motivated with a ‘can do’, solution-driven attitude to problem solving
Nice to haves
Legal experience desirable but full training will be provided
